MSNL provides marine and environmental protection services and helps develop program to avert invasive species into Nigeria’s maritime environment, stop unauthorised sea dumping and prevent oil and chemical spills in our oceans.

He world oceans contain 97 percent of total global water resources, which are rich in
biodiversity and natural resources. MSNL helps government create programmes on marine
conservation comprising of marine environmental protection (reducing inputs of plastic
waste) and marine nature conservation (protecting marine fauna and flora).

MSNL focuses on four specific principles – pollution prevention, precautions, polluters pay and sustainable development.
